Schedule

Print, export and calendar feed

Print daily and weekly schedule sheets, save appointments to a calendar file and subscribe to your own schedule from Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.

Open the More actions menu (the three dots) at the top of the Schedule page and click Print. NeatPractice builds a PDF and downloads it, ready to print.

  1. Pick the Date. It starts on the day the calendar shows.
  2. Choose the Sheet: Day for one day, or Week for the week that holds that date, starting on the day your practice's weeks start. The sheet starts as a week when the calendar is on Week or Month.
  3. Choose One page per: Provider, Room or Location. Each one starts on its own page with its appointments in time order, and a weekly sheet lists them under each day. A clinic that does not schedule by room prints by provider or location only, with no Room column.
  4. Click Print.

The sheet covers the location chosen in the location picker (or every location you can reach), uses the calendar's time zone, and keeps the calendar's provider filter when you print one page per provider. Cancelled and rescheduled appointments are left off.

Save appointments to a calendar file#

A calendar file (.ics) opens in Outlook, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and most other calendar apps. It is a one-time copy: later changes in NeatPractice do not update it.

  • Everything in view: open the More actions menu at the top of the Schedule page and click Export to Calendar. The file holds the appointments in the days the calendar shows, at the chosen location, and only one provider's when the calendar is filtered to a single provider.
  • One appointment: hover over its block and click Add to Calendar in the summary.

Calendar files never contain patient information. Each event is titled Appointment (or Busy for blocks such as time off and for appointments you cannot open) and shows only the time and the location. A telehealth Appointment event also carries its meeting link; a Busy event never does.

Subscribe to your schedule#

If you hold a role that can view the schedule, your profile has a Calendar Feed section. A feed is a private link your calendar app checks on its own, so your appointments as a provider stay up to date there: the past week and the next eight weeks, with cancelled appointments removed.

  1. Open your profile from the user menu and find Calendar Feed.
  2. Click Create Link and copy the link from the dialog. It is shown only once.
  3. In your calendar app, add a calendar by URL (Google Calendar: Other calendars, then From URL; Outlook: Add calendar, then Subscribe from web; Apple Calendar: File, then New Calendar Subscription) and paste the link.

Like calendar files, feed events show only Appointment or Busy, the time, the location and, for a telehealth Appointment, its meeting link. Calendar apps decide how often they check the link, so a change can take from a few minutes to several hours to appear. To have your appointments written to your calendar within minutes, and your calendar's busy times block your availability, use calendar sync instead.
