My Day
See your own appointments for a day as an agenda, start or resume each session, check which signatures are missing and reach every session action from the row menu.
My Day is the provider's view of the day: a row of counts across the top, then an Appointments list with one row for each patient on each of your appointments, in time order, like an agenda. It works the same for every discipline. On a phone it is the first page you see after signing in, and the installed NeatPractice app opens on it. On a computer you keep landing on your usual home page; open Visits and pick My Day from its panel.
You see My Day in the Visits panel when you can document visits (the Clinical: Visit Manage permission). It lists only appointments where you are a provider, at every location, whatever location is picked at the top of the menu.
Moving between days#
The day picker sits at the top right of the page. Use the arrows to go to the previous or next day, click the date to pick any day from a calendar, and click Today to come back. The date reads Today, Yesterday or Tomorrow (with the date beside it), or the date for any other day.
The day at a glance#
The cards above the list count the day:
| Card | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Remaining | Appointments still scheduled or in progress. |
| Done | Appointments attended or signed. |
| Canceled | Canceled, rescheduled and no-show appointments. |
| Notes to sign | Visits whose note you have not signed yet. Click it to open your Todos. |
| Caregiver signatures missing | Visits still waiting on the caregiver's signature. Click it to open Caregiver signatures. |
Hover or focus the info icon on a card for a reminder of what it counts.
What each row shows#
- The start and end time. The next appointment to work on has a colored bar on its left, a Next badge and its button filled in. Finished appointments are grayed.
- Its status: Scheduled, In progress (the visit is started) or Done (attended or signed). An appointment that will not happen shows what became of it in a red badge: No-show, Canceled by patient, Canceled by clinic (including weather) or Rescheduled. These rows are folded under Canceled at the end of the list, with their count; click it to show them.
- Offline ready when the session is prepared on this device (see Offline collection).
- The patient and their chart number. Click the name to open the chart. With privacy mode on, or when your clinic shows initials only on the calendar, the row shows initials and no chart number.
- The appointment type and its service codes (for example 92507, 97153). Hover or focus the codes to see your clinic's name for each.
- Where it happens: the location, the kind of service address (home, school, community) or telehealth.
- Signature badges for what the visit still needs: Caregiver when the payer or code asks for the patient's or caregiver's signature, and Provider once the visit is started. A green check means signed, an amber circle that the signature is missing.
When the day has no appointments, the list says so, with a link to the schedule.
Pre-visit brief#
When your clinic turns it on, the sparkle button on a row opens the AI pre-visit brief for that appointment: the last note's highlights, goals to address and items due. Click Generate to write it.
Starting or resuming a session#
The button at the end of each row takes you to the right place:
- Start starts the visit and opens it. For an ABA session it opens the session's data collection.
- Resume reopens a visit already under way, or its data collection.
- Open reopens a finished visit.
- Sign note opens the note of a finished visit you still need to sign.
Canceled appointments have no button. When a button cannot run right now, hover it to see why. If the patient has no open episode in your discipline, NeatPractice tells you which one is missing, as it does on the schedule.
The row menu#
Click the ... button at the end of a row to see everything else you can do with that appointment. On a computer it opens a menu; on a phone it opens a sheet from the bottom of the screen. It lists only what applies to that appointment and what your role allows:
| Action | When it shows |
|---|---|
| Caregiver signature | The visit needs the caregiver's signature and it is missing. Opens the visit on the signature form. |
| Provider signature | The visit is started and your note is not signed yet. Opens the note. |
| Data collection | ABA sessions, with the data collection permission. Starts or resumes the session. |
| Open note | Other disciplines, once the visit is started. |
| EVV details | Your clinic tracks this visit for EVV. Shows your clock in and out, distances and comments. |
| EVV comments | Your clinic tracks this visit for EVV. Write a note to the office about the visit. |
| Related session | ABA sessions, once the visit is started. Opens the data session. |
| Edit appointment | Scheduled and in-progress appointments, when you can manage appointments. |
| Cancel appointment | Appointments not started yet, when you can manage appointments. |
On a phone, tap Close to put the sheet away. An action that cannot run right now stays in the list, grayed out, with the reason under it.
Without a connection#
My Day needs a connection to load. If you lose it, the rows already on screen stay, and only the actions a prepared session can do on the device stay available: starting the session, data collection, signatures and EVV comments open the session in Offline sessions, where the comment goes with your clock in or out. Everything else says it needs a connection. When the app opens without a connection, go to Offline sessions to run your prepared sessions.
