ABA

ABA caregiver portal

What applied behavior analysis adds to the family portal, released monthly progress summaries and caregiver lessons, and how to share them with a learner's caregivers.

Applied behavior analysis builds on the family portal every discipline uses. Caregivers of a learner see the same appointments, messages, journal, shared files and billing, plus two ABA additions.

Progress summaries#

A signed monthly summary reaches the family only when you release it. On the learner's chart, open Family portal, find the summary under What the family sees and choose Show in Portal.

Caregivers then see a Progress summaries area with each released month: the sessions held and, for every program, the skills mastered that month, how many are mastered in all and whether the trend is improving. They can download the signed summary as a PDF.

Caregiver lessons#

Add short trainings for caregivers in Setup > Home activities with the kind Caregiver lesson, for example giving clear instructions or praise that teaches. Assign them from the learner's home program. The family reads the steps, opens the linked video and marks the lesson done; the home program shows the date it was completed, and the usage summary counts lessons completed.
