Data corrections
Correct or back-enter a learner's session data across programs and dates, and let a provider correct recent sessions for a set time.
After a session ends, its provider can still fix mistakes until the note is signed. Sometimes someone else needs to correct recent data: a technician entering paper data sheets from the week, or a new provider cleaning up their first sessions. A data-correction grant lets that person correct sessions dated in the last few days, for as long as you choose.
How a grant works#
- Window: sessions dated within this many days before today can be corrected. The window moves forward every day, so a 7-day grant always covers the last 7 days.
- Learners: one learner, or every learner the person can open.
- Last day: the grant ends after this day. You can revoke it sooner.
Corrections never change a signed note. Each one is added to the session history with who made it and when, and the original entry stays there, struck through. A session whose note is already signed still asks for a reason with every correction.
Grant corrections#
- Go to Documentation, then Data corrections.
- Click Grant Corrections.
- Pick Who may correct, the Window (days) and the Last day.
- To limit the grant to one learner, turn on Limit to one learner and pick them.
- Enter the Reason and click Grant.
The person sees the correction actions on matching ended sessions right away.
Review and revoke grants#
The list shows active grants; choose All grants under Show to see expired and revoked ones too. Corrections counts the entries each grant allowed. To end a grant early, open the row's actions and click Revoke. Corrections already made stay in the session history.
Correct a learner's data#
The Correct Session Data section brings a learner's values from every program into one list:
- Pick the Learner and the dates (From and To, up to 92 days), then click Show Data.
- To fix a value, open its row's actions and click Correct Value. Enter the corrected value and the reason.
- To back-enter a value for a date with no session, click Add Value to Program on any row of that program, then pick the date, target and value.
A corrected value replaces the original on graphs and in mastery; the original stays in the program's data history, struck through with your reason. Values from sessions you may not correct say so in the Source column.
Permissions#
Managing grants needs ABA data: Correct. A grant for every learner needs it for all learners; with it for your caseload only, you can grant corrections for your own learners.
Someone who collects data and holds an active grant also opens Data corrections. They see their own grants and, in Correct Session Data, only the values from sessions their grants cover. They can correct those values but cannot add new ones. Without an active grant, Data corrections does not appear for them.
