Referring another clinic
Share your referral link with another practice and both clinics get a credit on their NeatPractice invoices once the new clinic pays its first invoice.
Know another speech or occupational therapy practice that could use NeatPractice? Share your referral link. When the practice signs up through it and pays its first invoice, your clinic gets a credit and so does theirs. Credits come off your next NeatPractice invoices automatically.
Owners and anyone whose role can see the plan find the program in Setup, Subscription, in the Refer a Clinic panel. The panel shows the current credit amounts in its help popover.
Share your link#
Your referral link appears once your plan is paid. Click the copy button beside it and send it however you like: an email, a message to a colleague, a slide at a study group. The short code next to the link works too; the other practice can type it in after signing up.
When the credit arrives#
A referral starts as Pending when the new practice signs up. It becomes Rewarded when that practice pays its first invoice, after any free trial. At that moment:
- Your clinic gets a referral credit.
- The new practice gets a welcome credit.
Each credit is taken off the next invoice, and any amount left over carries to the invoices after it.
If the new practice's first invoice is refunded in full, the referral shows Reversed and both credits are taken back on the following invoices.
Referrals that do not count#
The list shows Not eligible when a referral cannot earn a credit:
- Same owner or company: the two clinics share a member email address or a company email domain. A practice cannot refer itself or a second location it owns.
If the referral program is paused when the new practice pays, the referral stays Pending and earns its credits on the first invoice paid after the program is back.
Each practice can be referred once, so only the first code it uses counts.
Signed up without the link?#
A new clinic that has not paid yet can still add the code within 30 days of signing up. In Setup, Subscription, click Add Referral Code in the Refer a Clinic panel and type the code the other practice shared. The code cannot be changed after it is added.
