Online requests
Review requests families send from your online intake form, then accept each as a referral or decline it.
Requests families send from your online intake form wait under Patients > Online requests. No chart exists until someone here accepts the request.
When a family sends a request and gave an email address on the form (theirs or the guardian's), NeatPractice emails them that the clinic received it. The email names only your clinic, never the patient or anything they wrote.
Reviewing a request#
Click Review on a row. The dialog shows the request (service, days and times, hours and settings for ABA, who sent it), the answers, and any files to open.
To accept it, choose:
- Chart: Create a new chart, or one of the existing charts that may be the same person. The list names why each one matched (name, date of birth, phone, email).
- Discipline, Priority and Location for the referral.
- Why a new chart: asked when you create a new chart even though a likely match exists.
Click Accept as Referral. A new chart is filled from the answers bound to the chart, and the referral lands in the referral queue. When you pick an existing chart, the referral is added there instead. Any answers the chart did not take, and every uploaded file, wait as a chart update for someone to accept field by field and file under a document category (see chart updates).
Accepting also files a PDF of the request on the chart's documents, under Intake forms: the answers as the family sent them, with who signed, their relationship and when. A sensitive answer such as a Social Security number prints only as provided.
To turn a request down, click Decline and give a reason. The request leaves the queue and no chart is created.
Unsent drafts#
A family can start the form and leave without sending it. Those drafts never reach this list, and NeatPractice deletes them with any files they attached seven days after they were started.
Working this queue needs permission to create patient charts.
