ABA
ABA supervision
Follow the monthly RBT and assistant analyst supervision logs, and case supervision for each learner with its segments, notes, signatures and printed log.
ABA supervision uses the same logs as every discipline (supervision logs), with the requirements the ABA module brings. Change their minimums in Setup > Supervision.
Monthly RBT log#
Open Documentation > Supervision; the logs of every discipline are listed together. Each registered behavior technician gets a log per month:
- service hours from their delivered sessions, billable or not (voided visits are left out);
- supervised hours and the percent of service, at least 5%;
- at least 2 contacts, at least 1 of them individual, and at least 1 observation with a learner.
Assistant analysts get their own log with its own minimums. Open a technician's log to record supervision, see the sessions still unsupervised this month, sign the log once the month ends, and print the monthly PDF.
Case supervision#
Open Documentation > Case supervision to see each learner's month: direct supervision hours over direct treatment hours (at least 10%), and the case lead's own share (at least 5%). Pick case leads on the Providers tab to see only their learners. Choose Segments on a learner to see how the time was cut:
- Supervised treatment: a technician treating while a supervisor is present.
- Unsupervised treatment: a technician treating alone.
- Supervisor service: a supervisor with the learner and no technician.
The same dialog holds the month's Notes, which the supervisor can edit until the month is signed, and its Signatures. Once the month has ended, the case lead or a supervisor who appears in the segments signs with Sign as Supervisor, and anyone else who can see the learner with Sign as Coordinator. Each signature keeps the totals the signer saw. Click Print for the monthly PDF: totals against the minimums, the segments, the notes and the signatures, with the learner shown by initials only.
To book supervision into a technician's session, use With supervision when booking it or Add Supervision from its visit (see supervision logs).
Technician treatment comes from the treatment codes (97153, 97154, 97160 by default); supervisor time from the supervision codes (97155 and 97173 by default) plus supervision records observed with the learner. Overlapping supervisors count once, a supervisor with more than one technician at a time is group supervision, and a place of service of 02 or 10 marks the time remote.
